Official end to the Search for the BEST Street Meat
Today, Bullpen Larry and I found **THE** best street meat vendor in the downtown core! Vendor 1467 on York just north of Wellington (downstairs from the TD Centre courtyard).
Why is this the best vendor??
Meat: has all beef hot dogs; Italian sausages; all beef sausages;
Cooking: Just perfect; not overcooked and has enough flame to make the exterior of the hot dog just a little crispy
Bun: He lightly toasts the bun on the grill; but not burnt; no hint of carbon
Condiments: normal sauces; corn relish; dijon sauces; green olives; black olives; fresh sliced tomatoes; cooked canned mushrooms and more (I can't remember cuz there was a line behind me)
Drinks: Has Grape Crush
Additional Notables: Styrofoam trays available for those choosing to make a little 'salad' out of the extra condiments ;)
It's worth the 50 cent premium that he charges over the other vendors - this is evidence of his confidence that his hot dogs are superior!
Atmosphere: Just beside the TD Courtyard, the largest patch of green grass you can find in the downtown core...plus they always have a band playing....not too many seagulls and pigeons for those birdophobes...
Life Together
On another note - the book I ordered from Chapters came in the mail today - Life Together; the Classic Exploration of Faith in Community by Dietrich Bonhoeffer came...along with The Cambridge Companion to Dietrich Bonhoeffer (the extra book I bought to get free shipping).
YAY!

Dun they look cute together? :)
Ahem.. -A, you're digging dirt out of the wrong hole here...
phoebe and i had a street meat outside of Eaton centre today. it sucked.
$3.50 sausage (premium cost)
NO corn relish (which used to be a premium, but is now just a normal item)
NO tomatoes
and NO anita, they did not have GRAPE CRUSH.
how disappointing
you people have such high standards! hahhaa..
everything is good to me... waterloo has all of two hot dog stands. one in uni plaza and one down on university and king ..
the vendor in uni plaza has a HUGE mustache. sometimes i wonder whether it might shed into the relish and stuff...
Hey,
cool choices on the books.. how did you arrive at those :)? i read life together for one of peter frick's assignments. i miss that guy.
