Weddings and Marriages
Congrats to R&S on their marriage on Saturday. It was pretty hectic with the guests and setting up, but again, it's such a blessing to share in their joy :) This wedding was really significant to me because their relationship is one of 3 that I really look to as an example of when God shines even brighther in their lives as a couple; where the total is more than the sum of the two parts. Their passion for God's glory was really evident in all the sharing during the day; and the fact that their wedding vows were not only to each other, but also a vow to serve their family, friends and community was the true symbol of their hearts. The fact that their wedding didn't seem like it was only the beginning of a marriage to each other, but a beginning of a new type of service or minstry, had just put God in the forefront of everything.
I was reminded that even though most people in our society can readily agree on any moral discussion that love for a wife or husband is a nobler life goal than fame, legacy, money or power and influence), there is still a greater love. The love for God. I was reminded that in a marriage between Christians, it's not just about two people being together, but more importantly, two people being together in Christ, for Christ.
That's so cool.

Wow. You're bang on again. There was something about this wedding that, in trying to explain or describe to others, i couldn't convey.
